Stormy Weather Policy

When there is a snow storm with accumulations of snow or ice that may lead to hazardous driving for librarians and members, the MFGS Library will be closed. (Generraly, if schools are closed, so are we.)

If there is any question about the weather, it is recommended that you call the Library at (207) 786-3327. If there is no answer, the Library is closed.

Directions

If coming from the south on Rt. 202, or the Maine Turnpike. Get off at exit 75 at the Auburn Exit. At the stop light, turn left onto Washington St. (Rt. 202) Continue on Washingon St. (which merges onto Minot Ave, which becomes Union St.) to the intersection of Turner and Union St. (no left turn allowed) Take the next left onto Whitney St., then left onto Vernon St., then another left back onto Turner St.: entrance to Fortin Funeral Home and our Library will be on left.

If coming from Lewiston or Augusta, stay on Main St. in Lewiston, then cross the North Bridge into Auburn; at the second light, turn right onto Turner St. Stay in the left lane; at the 2nd red light, turn left to stay on Turner St, then an immediate right into the Fortin Funeral Home parking lot.
